This was another book that had high expectations from me. Was dying for Picnic and London's story.
I was hoping Picnic would save me from a startling phenomenon.......badass' handing in their alpha card ( looking at you Deacon). Don't know what's happening to our authors out there, but Kristen Ashley's revelation this week that an alpha guy getting a manicure was "hot", sent me into a tailspin. Ugh nooooo KA it's not.

So back to our story...
We go on a cleaning tour of all properties owned by our club.....
Deal with TSTL teenager....
Picnic having sex with other women....
Pesky TSTL teenager won't go away....
London then becomes TSTL herself
Now she is in DEEP SHIT! She's tries to kill him!? Say it ain't so...
Amazingly he does not kill her!
They rescue TSTL teenager after somehow Em who is fourteen weeks pregnant, almost dies from an ectopic pregancy! How in this day and age of modern OB/Gyn technology this happened that she's 14 weeks and her doctor never did ultrasound to check fetal placement, I will never know!? Malpractice!? Find a lawyer!
Ok so I couldn't put the book down. I hated and loved this story at the same time but...

Excuse me, Ms. Wylde, is it? I have a bone to pick with you. I'll talk temporarily in biker bitch speak so you understand...Listen bitch...43 is not old! Neither is 38, the age of our TSTL h in this book. I'm 45 and if I hear you call me old again I will have to cut you , bitch.....right off my automatic buy list!
Another thing, do your medical research before you write a book. I'm a nurse and a lot of people who are in my profession are reading your book , and we are laughing at your inaccurate medical info. Now , I know I'm old by your standards (Bitch you are in your early thirties not far behind me) but when I had my first kid 14 years ago, ultrasound to establish fetal placement had been the standard of care at least a decade prior! I worked in OB I know this! So there's no way Em went 14 weeks with an undetected ectopic! Ok bitch speak over. ...more

Disappointing read :( like any other fan of this series, I've been chomping at the bit for Picnics book. He's been awesome in previous books and I was so excited to get his story because I just knew it was going to be something epic. I stalked the release date and prioritized it above all currently reading books I had going, that's how excited I was. It felt like I was reading about someone else, nothing of the badass biker prez that we've been getting glimpses of in the last 3 books. It felt like I was reading about someone else, nothing of the badass biker prez that we've been getting glimpses of in the last 3 books. He was alpha, he had a dirty mouth but that's about all that worked for him here. I have an unhealthy obsession with alpha jerks - there's something about groveling badasses that just melts me but they have to be redeemable and believable. Unfortunately, Picnic was just a dick - after explaining to London that the term bitch is only used for women who don't mean anything, he still referred to her as a bitch (view spoiler) not to mention what she walked in on BOTH times in his office as well as in his living room. I didn't much like London either, all that giggling didn't portray her as a mature 38 year old business owner one broken marriage and a teenage 'daughter'. I don't even know what Picnic saw in her apart from her great tits. The romance was superficial and the story itself lacked the depth I'm used to in previous books from this series. The ending was a bit too convenient with everything tied up nicely with a big red bow and the requisite 'I live yous' (view spoiler), even the action here was a little boring and overall anticlimatic. I'm giving it a very generous 3.5/4 star rating because I love this series, I enjoyed cameos made by MCs from previous books and I'm really looking forward to more Reapers story (bring on Painter please!) as well as the new spin off series Silver Bastards MC (hoping we get Pucks story first) releasing next year. ...more

This was a really good book and I love this series and although this book was not as good as the last one to me it was still a really good book. London has put her life on hold to raise niece as her on child. She has founded her own cleaning business and now at the age of 38 she is finally starting to get ahead. Her niece has just graduated and everything should be smooth sailing until the night she is told her niece has gone to party with the Reapers MC. London's only choice is to go to the clu ...more

Not the best but not the worst either. For most of the book I liked Picnic and hated London. I was losing interest at one point because nothing is worse to me then a TSTL h. But overall JW writes a good book and she knows how to wrap you up and keep your interest.

I didn't love it, but it was a decent MC read. I don't get intense love from these characters. The H has sex throuout the book with OW, the h betrays... All that is glossed over and forgiven seemingly instantly. To each their own, but just not my cuppa. ...more

I loved Horse and Hunter's story's. Hunter being my favorite so far, well, that is until I read Reaper's Stand. Hands down, Picnic is now my favorite. This book is filled with hot, filthy mouthed, baddass, outlaw bikers. It gave you great sex, awesome story line, suspense, bloodshed and romance, what's more to love?

We have meet Reese "Picnic" Hayes in the previous books, but up until now, we really didn't get to know him. I'm so glad we got to in this book. Yes, he can be a giant jerk, but when ...more

So I am in love with biker romance. Completely. No shame in it at all. I've read some really good ones, some really bad ones, and some that just blending in with the others too much. This series though, as been amazing. Yes, there are some gritty, Oh My God...., moments; but they were written so well you didn't get hung up on them. Everything flowed.
