For me, this was one of the author's better books.

This book worked for me on every level. Going into this, I was a little unsure about the book…The Will was good, but I had a few issues with Josephine’s overly formal speech, so I had a hard time getting into the story. But this time around, I was pulled in from page one.

I LOVE Soaring and this series! I love the feel of these stories with a more mature hero and heroine. My heart just broke for Amelia. She is a real and flawed woman, who, when under pressure, has made mistakes. But at every turn does her best to redeem herself. I needed her to find her happiness.

I loved every second of this book, which was especially nice since I went into this thinking I wasn't going to like Amelia. I should have know better.

I don't know a woman, especially of my acquaintance, who wouldn't have done the same as Amelia did, or maybe worse, when her world was blown to smithereens.

I commended wholeheartedly for admitting her mistake, and trying to make things right with those that she loved.
