What I liked about Lover Unleashed:
`We get to see that Vishous has a soft side when it comes to his twin sister. A twin that the Scribe Virgin kept from him.
-Payne, being the daughter of The Scribe Virgin and The Bloodletter, has a strong need to fight that resides within her. She busts Ward’s female vampire stereotypes wide open and yet she can be completely feminine, soft and sensual. The Warden did a good job with her character, in my ...more

I’ve had a hard time getting into the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. I feel like I should like them. They have vampires, tortured alpha male heroes and kinky sex. They are really funny. I really, really should like them. Unfortunately, I start them, put them down and then have a hard time getting back into them. They just aren’t my cup of tea. Before I started reading this book, I’d read some reviews saying how it wasn’t very good. I almost didn’t buy it. He was one of my favorite characters, and the book spent so much time on the Lessening Society and revenge that I couldn’t really connect with John and Xhex’s romance as I had some of the others. I went into this book thinking ‘if I don’t like this one, that’s it. I’m not reading more’.

A good read but I didn't really care about Payne the way I did the brothers so not quite as good. I did enjoy the further development of Quinn and Vishous though.
I realized I should have read this before reading Envy though since the introduction of Veck and a little background is included especially the who/what that attacked the serial killer. Oh, well it all makes sense now. ...more

I was actually suprised how much I got into readin about Payne and Manny I will admit at first I didn't like Payne all that much!
There wasn't enough Blay and Qhuinn for my liking:(
But once again the book was 5 stars for me! Loved it! ...more
