i never expect much from debut authors, because sometimes you can really see how an author develops over time after writing multiple books. i honestly did have a good time reading this ! i think it was one of my more liked debuts.

Light Lark was such a good book! Up until like halfway through the book it was mainly just building up the story giving readers an idea of the history of light lark etc., but once I hit halfway it was amazing. I've never read a book with a love triangle like this I was genuinely in love with both Oro and Grim. The way Alex wrote just the little things either of the Characters said had me giggling, however I still found myself by the end of the book on team Grim. The Plot Twists at the end felt l ...more

Hm. I'm not quite sure about this book. I thought the whole idea for it and the world were really cool, but I think it could have been developed or explained a bit more. Also I didn't think the writing was very good. The descriptions weren't great and sometimes it just didn't sound quite right. I also didn't really like the ending and I thought the plot-twist was a bit predictable.
