I can definitely see the potential for this series! I loved the found family and how characters support each other by encouraging therapy and family counseling.

I did get icked out by the MMC several times - I know he was just putting on a show - I just wasn’t a fan of the way he spoke most the time. BUT his love language being words of affirmation was precious, he won major points that way. Stevie was cool, but a little too much sometimes. I'm not great at writing reviews, but im gonna start trying to.

I really liked the book, but i feel like it was too long for what it was. I did get sick/ill halfway through and couldn't read for a while, so I lost my flow a bit but managed to finish.

The only other thing i had with this book was I felt like the characters weren't described. Well, I know it was said a few times that the main characters were mixed and black but I just had a hard time picturing it, it wasnt till I read the 2nd book a ...more
