i never expect much from debut authors, because sometimes you can really see how an author develops over time after writing multiple books. i honestly did have a good time reading this ! i think it was one of my more liked debuts.

Pleaaaase.. The plot twist?! I feel gaslit...
I think I saw a little bit of it coming, but, I refused to believe it.
Let me take a moment to grieve my girl. She ain't dead, but, she is to me... iykyk.

The build up to the end result was so good, in my opinion. I know a lot of people thought it was slow, but there was actually a lot going on. I would've loved a bit more world building, but that didn't hinder the story in any way for me.

Light Lark was such a good book! Up until like halfway through the book it was mainly just building up the story giving readers an idea of the history of light lark etc., but once I hit halfway it was amazing. I've never read a book with a love triangle like this I was genuinely in love with both Oro and Grim. Hm. I'm not quite sure about this book. I thought the whole idea for it and the world were really cool, but I think it could have been developed or explained a bit more. Also I didn't think the writing was very good. The descriptions weren't great and sometimes it just didn't sound quite right. I also didn't really like the ending and I thought the plot-twist was a bit predictable.
