I can’t stop thinking about this duology. I love all the rhymes ❤️ I don’t know what it is with duologies, I love that they’re short but I hate that they’re short. 🤣 Again the magic system is great, the characters are all worth fighting for except that one guy, you know that guy. The ending was beautiful, take me back!

I put off reading this for a few months because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye as yet but thought it was the right time to complete this duology.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I really couldn’t tell what was gonna happen next throughout the whole book. There were so many twists and turns.

This duology has everything you would want in a fantasy series - incredible world building, unique magic system, depth, chemistry between characters, found family, friendship, political tension.

What a great duology! A lot of romantasy books have repetitive plots we have read before. But the magic system and setting was so entirely different from everything I’ve ever read. The multiple POVs from the characters really brought the book together and brought better tension and insight as the story unfolded. It was such a good series I decided not to read another book right away to better appreciate what I read. 10/10 series

3.5 stars. I adored one dark window, but feel a twang of disappointment with this one. We went through all that to barely get anytime with Ravyn and Elspeth?

As much as I enjoyed the other characters and seeing their povs (Hi Elm, love you). ODW sucked me into a world that I felt like we didn’t get this book. With the ending of ODW I expected more from Elspeth. I wanted more from her. I needed more from her and Ravyn.
