3.5 ⭐️ Elm!!!

Once again, Goodreads is rating this book absurdly high (4.41 stars), and while I agree it was a solid sequel, it wasn’t that good.

⤷ Sweet, sweet revenge and well-earned plot resolution. Everyone gets their moment: Elm, Ione, Elspeth, Ravyn, Hauth, even Elsbeth’s dad, and of course, the Nightmare.

What a great ending! I thought it was going to be different, but I’m so glad it wasn’t. I loved the multiple PoVs and the short chapters so we could follow everyone’s storylines. I usually don’t like when the sequel follows on other couples, but I didn’t mind at all here. Absolute perfect duology!

This second book was a bit disappointing... I loved the story and the world but not the writing.
It took me two weeks to finish it while I read the first book in three days...

The multiple POV was annoying to me because it disrupted all the action. It was slowing everything.
