This is a reread. I have actually read this book a couple of times. This series is literally my favorite EVER. I doubt anything will tear this series from my top faves.

I don’t know how to describe this book. I know there are a lot of things wrong with it. And not everyone will get it. But there are little nuggets, and big ones, that make this book so special to me.

I don’t know how to describe this book. I know there are a lot of things wrong with it. And not everyone will get it. But there are little nuggets, and big ones, that make this book so special to me.

Introductions is about a girl named Sang (I know. It’s an odd name. But she is an odd girl so whatever. It adds to her charm) She is very sheltered due to her overbearing parents. They move to this new town in this big house where she is free to roam the forest out back, just as long as she can sneak past her dismissive father and abusive sick mother. But that type of freedom is not freedom at all. So she decides to pack an overnight bag and head out on a rainy night to an abandoned house to sleep for one night without the watch of her parents looming over her. But an accident occurs that lands her in a neighboring boy’s home. He lets her stay the night at his place and they become instantly friends. Then as the book goes on you meet the neighbor boy’s friends and their odd way of doing things. They are protective and want to help Sang in her situation at home. Sang clings to these nice boys and their friendship. And also wondering if all this is normal.

This really is just the beginning. Hence the title of the book. It is a quick read. And you can get it for free on most ebook sights. You can also order the paperback. I do have the paperback of the first 9 or ten books in this series. All them are signed. I got them for Christmas a few years ago and they are one of my prized possessions.

But yeah, you either love this book or hate it.

For me personally, I really connected with Sang’s confusion of the world and how people live and interact with others. She constantly questions how she is supposed to act and also wonders what is “normal”. I am the same way. I walk into a store and I try and focus on looking at clothing. But my brain can’t stop thinking that people are staring at me, or what I’m doing or looking at is wrong, or I’m acting weird, “does my face show the wrong expression?” The list goes on. Even talking to my friends is hard. I don’t know if what I am saying to them is right. Am I asking the right questions. Do I care enough? Am I supposed to hug them?

Sang battles similar fears. Hers are from being sheltered and mentally and physically abused. Mine are from other reasons. But the connection to this character is very much real. The hot boys are just a bonus 😂

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a laugh, a good cry, and some cute boys with secrets you can’t wait to unravel. ...more

As the nine began falling in love with her, they’re faced with a problem-how to get the Academy to allow them to keep her on their close knit team. A second problem is how to handle these budding romances without the team being torn apart and possibly all of them losing her forever.

that has consumed me. As soon as I finished one, I downloaded the next. First thing I reached for when I woke up in the morning. Now I’m all done and am tempted to start all over with book one while I wait for the next one to come out.

The crazy thing is, I can’t explain why I like these books. I am probably being too generous giving them four stars. The plot is not all that heavy and not very credible for the most part. In some of the stories, things happen that aren’t easily explained or don’t make any sense at all.As another reviewer stated, you get to where you really don’t care about the mysterious academy at all. What you do care about are nine too good to be true heroes and the young lady they’re all falling in love with who is not as helpless as we think she is.There’s no sex but a lot of heavy kissing. And maybe that’s where credibility starts to fall apart. There is no way nine normal, healthy, red blooded young men are going to be satisfied with only kissing even it is intense.

There is a fair amount of senseless cursing throughout the books from a few of the characters. Always makes me sad when talented authors are reduced to vulgar language and taking God’s name in vain. But then I figured they probably talk like that themselves so it’s just natural to pass it onto their characters.

What I like about these books is that the heroes have their vulnerabilities. They are incredibly talented but they can’t fix everything. They have to rely on each other and on the strength and wisdom of those outside of their close knit group to solve some of their problems.

Anyone interested in the series can save a little money by buying the two omnibuses. Happy reading!

Classic reverse harem

I am doing a reread in preparation for tomorrow's release eeep

But anyway, this is such a classic. I have been rereading this a lot, tbh. And the feeling of giddiness as if I'm back in high school or the pureness from Sang when she was shyly interacting with the boys. Ughhh so sweet

And I really really dont mind the slowburn going on with the series. I know people wanted more from the characters but I feel content (meaning I won't mind if the pace picked up but nontheless is v ...more
