Apart from a few little goof-ups like - a person who got up from the table is mentioned again to have got to their feet, this was most surely very amusing humor and mystery wise. It was almost like Jeeves and then like Miss Marple. The witty young semi-royal Lady Georgiana has managed to capture my heart. I wanted to like this book but I struggled to get into this as, for once, I was put off by the first person narration. It meant I could never quite get away from the thought that this can't be real as Georgie would never be allowed to be so indiscreet as to reveal royal affairs while they were going on. Any how I persisted and the mystery element did mean it got quite interesting although it did seem to get solved rather by chance. Don't think I'll read any of the other books.

I love this book! Georgie is a lovable heroine and oh so funny! I adore this cozy British mystery! I listen to this series on audible. The narrator, Katherine Kellgren is fabulous! I go out of my way to listen to books she narrates.
