Prescient ideas acted out by hundreds of cardboard characters, the story told with dreadful writing and worse dialog. Why are the women young and beautiful (there is one career "girl" described as "thirty-five, plain, single, but a good talker with a fund of jokes."), and why does Brunner like the word "panties" so much?
