We find S.T. where we left him: raising the last human alive. However, Dee doesn't want to be a human; she wants to be a crow. She would rather learn the language of bees that of humans. S.T. is beside himself. How will Dee ever live up to her full potential? When a fire forces Dee and S.T. to leave their Alaskan haven, S.T. worries for Dee's survival. I think I enjoyed book 1 more. I did like seeing other places in the world as they deal with the same things as the main characters. There were some great lines. The audiobook was great. The voices really made the characters.
