I think I liked this book better when I read it in high school for the first time. Maybe knowing the ending made it drag, but it sure did seem to drag on at points.
Kingsolver does a wonderful job of switching between very distinct characters to tell such a unique and engaging story. Each sister has her own narrative voice and quirks to it.
