I actually finished this 12ish hours ago but needed some time to process how to even talk about this wonderful wonderful book. An easy 5 stars and new favourite, I think. I never wanted to put this down and it was such a struggle not to read it in one sitting. This also emotionally destroyed me in the best way possible and just aaaaaa. Need a few days to fully articulate anything else.

Honestly Cawpile told me to give this a 4 star rating but fuck it, I'm going with 5 because I really LOVED it. It reminded me of Uprooted and Howl's Moving Castle (the book), and both are on my favorite list. I loved the poetic writing, and the interactions between characters, and the folklore used. I would definitely like to read more book with this vibe/in this universe!!
