EDIT: I was reminded of this book again and disliked it even more upon reflection.
I’m a bit annoyed I forced myself to finish this lol. Started out really strong, but soon I realized the main character was really stupid. The overall plot was interesting. The Nightmare was the only thing that motivated me to finish this book, ...more

“To the quiet girls with stories in their heads.
To their dreams—and their nightmares.”
I bought this book, but hesitated to start it. It did start a bit slow, but towards about 40% it picked up for me and I was hooked. The story is original, it’s gothic, it’s horror! It has my favorite trope enemies to lovers. ...more

The Fine: The magic system feels like it's on the brink of being awesome but keeps falling short. Hard to describe I guess. The cards lack depth but they are still cool.
