This is a new take on a delicious old story. Enjoyed this fantasy. The feisty relationship dynamics were provocative and the world building was slow and thorough. Looking forward to book 2.

Didn't love this. I had issues with the hero, heroine, writing and I found myself not invested in the romance. Like many others have said, the first part is hard to get through, a lot of world and character building. However, I feel like this occurs in other books as well, in a more engaging manner.
