Starting off my spooky reading season right with this charming dark fairytale. I loved the “rag tag” crew coming together for an impossible mission vibe.
My favorite was the dust-wife who had no time for anyone’s (living or dead) bullshit lol.
Also the goblin market was such a great scene.
I can’t wait to read more T. Kingfisher!

This probed some profound reflections with sneaky life lessons, disguised by comic relief brought on by a demon chicken and a grumpy/sunshine guardian pairing. A great use of the found family trope to bring a range of dynamics into play.
