This is the most creative, unusual book I have ever read. It's weird as hell, it's funny, it's creepy. It had dozens of lines that I read over and over again because they were so beautiful or perfect or interesting.

Shelves: audiobook

Another winner by T. Kingfisher. I love the variety of genres she writes in and this fantasy novel is great.

Although it starts off confusingly in the middle of a major event, soon we backtrack and figure out how the main character got there.

I really liked all the characters and the story was really engrossing. I loved the world building.

Some great highlights: the main saint is Lady of the Grackles (which sounds like a lovely concept) and CHICKEN WITH A DEMON.

I highly recommend this novel.

Shelves: delightful-heroine, fantasy, romp

Not sure how I forgot to write the review for this one. I absolutely was riveted the entire time. The world-building was vivid and unique. The FMC was such a great character - she wasn't a badass warrior, she was flying by the seat of her pants, but just had a conviction to save her sister and that was what led her to success. The entourage she picks up had me laughing out loud - it was so...goofy almost...but it was tempered by the seriousness of the mission.
