This book was fantastic. Fantabulous, even. Every part of it, from the characters to the storyline to the world building was absolute perfection. I love how the story didn’t cancel out the wonderful elements that made up the Shadow and Bone series, but instead added to it and made it even more amazing. I was not expecting to love this book this much.
It was so good! If you want to read a book that will make you feel, make you so curious and speculative of the plot and its characters, READ THIS! I have not seen a book that switches between third person limited perspectives, yet, this book managed to do it pretty well. I loved every single character. If I could I’d rate this book far more than 5🌟. I know that we’re still in the start of the year but can I say this has the potential of being one of the best of 2022??

I must admit the start was rather slow and that didn’t really grip me at first. But as you progress and start to fall in love with the characters it’s amazing. Wow this was so fun!
There's suspense, there's humour and even though there's only a hint of romance here and there, that scarcity only made every little moment adorable, sweet and special!
