my fav thing about this book were definitely the characters:

Avery: i loooved this girl she was brave and actually kinda misunderstood

A lot of readers on social media have been talking about this book, so I thought I would give it a go. Unfortunately, I did not like this as much as I would have hoped. The Hawthorne boys in the story all seemed kind of similar, and I couldn't tell the difference at times. I also would have liked for there to be more mystery and surprising twists and turns, as it is labeled as a mystery story. literally. too. good. i started reading this book a little skeptical of if i was gonna like it but that changed- QUICKLY. the mystery and secrets kept me up all night! and the forbidden love had me shakingggg

i finished this in like 3 days so- new record? DEFINITELY recommend. she’s such a good writer!!

I loved this book truly but the thing is some parts made me question who was talking, clearly a good read and an amazing YA story to read. I also love it cause it has short chapters that are normally a page and a half, sometimes two pages. The characters are so good especially the Hawthorn brothers!
