𝑪𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒆𝒏𝒂* Sarah introduced to us her new hero- this strong, powerful and fearful assassin, that has very hard and bad upbringing. let's just say one thing- we still don't know a lot about how she lived, why and how she became and assassin (except some little informations). I was expecting this woman that they said was so fearful to fight against man, to fight against her own fate and show WHY she was the most fearful 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏.

did we get it from her? I can't say no, and at the same time I can't say yes. this character brought in me so many mixed signals, one for the fact that she listened to every freaking word 𝑫𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 and Chaol said to her little silly head just because she liked both of them. I can't say that I don't like Celaena, because I do. I found some very similarities between her and my own life BUT, I still need to see what she have in store for us, and I want to see the girl that made all men fear of her.

my boy. mi lovely boy. from the start I didn't like him pretty much, mostly because how arrogant and how up he wanted to be from Celaena. his character at first was giving just a patrol or some side piece but boy was I wrong- Chaol I will always cheris and protect your character and your kindness that you showed us. I loved how he was always transparent with her and how he always was telling the truth. of course he fell for the assassin, because he saw himself in her, because in some way even he wanted to be free from some things. Chaol, I know you are going to shake my world and I hope you will.

miss Sarah, we need to have a one word. you gave us these two smooth men and you expect us to pick? to choose? Dorian, I adored you for your humbling character, for the fact that you wanted to STAND for you, for your people and for your friends. growing up under iron hand of your father I pitied you. because your soul and your character is pure as light and you showed us, that not every prince is cruel. BUT- there is a big BUT. I saw a character of Tamlin in you. in the last competition where Celaena was dueling against Cain AGAIN- like Tamlin he just stood next to his father and watched.
WHILE Chao, and Nehemia risked their life for helping her. LET ME TELL YOU- I was DISAPPOINTED and I had to put the book down because BOY- I wanted to slap you in the face to grow up. you had this vision of standing for everything you like/love and here you were, watching the girl you like being destroyed and you doing nothing. I am giving you a big L for
this one.

after all, it was really strange to dive into this new world and I need to admit, I didn't understand shit when j first started. but as the story was proceeding, I started to like it. I still think there is so much that we don't know, and this book is hanging with a big question mark. still, I am excited to see how this is going to unravel in the future. i am giving this book 3 stars but I genuinely don't think it was bad, there was just so many things that I wasn't happy about. ...more

This book was really good. It took me a while to get into but by the end I was loving it. The plot twists were great and I’m so excited to continue reading this series (I have high hopes thanks to Acotar)

The characters:
Celaena~ I loved her. She was such a strong and badass FMC. I only have one issue with her- her name is literally impossible to spell 🤣😭.

Nehemia- I loved her just as much. She was so kind and passionate, and such a good friend as well. I found her character growth grea ...more

so this book cooked me up..... it was interesting to say the least um I don't like dolrian and chaols so um hope I like the others better !!! (Marianne liked it more then me) ...more
