In light of today's many perspectives on 'changing' the church, the book shed light on careful assessment of these 'trends' and the conversation we should have as a church. The writing style is also humorous at time which made reading this book quite enjoyable.

Shelves: favorites, christianity

From a generation with so much discontent with the church, this book stands to affirm the legitimacy of the church through solid biblical studies. A great read for anyone who maybe disillusioned with their church and a guide for all to refocus on how God works through His church.

From a personal perspective it highlighted the danger of the emergent church movement and its influence on my own church today. Our church may not be emergent, but its easy to see how one can so easily be convinced beca ...more
