The author has chosen 50 of the best films of 1939 and detailed them in studio release order for the year with detailed production highlights and critical reaction of the time.
But the highlight of this beautiful book is the sumptuous reproduction of the film stills - simply glorious. Obviously all carefully chosen with many rare and unusual images.
