i wish i could give this book a better rating but it took me 𝘴𝘰 long to finish.

bree and archer's story was wholesome and devastating at the same time. the setting and vibes of the book were 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. but sadly i was bored or 'not-so-interested' in what was going to happen most of the time.
what i missed were better developed side characters. i appreciate that mia sheridan wanted to incorporate other characters into bree's life but most of them felt very flat.

Update: I was wrong. This book is not for me. Three chapters in and I was completely gone into a reading slump.
I'll try my luck reading this book another time.

I need to cry my eyes out. Otherwise I feel like I'm just going to break down soon. It's better to cry over a book than no reason at all.

This book really hit me . Wow this book was powerful and had me gasp at times . I don’t know how Mia Sheridan did this but oh wow . This book was emotional and I really felt for Archer . I wanted to hug him and tell him everything is ok . Wow I loved this book .❤️❤️

2.5 I have a few more critiques after finishing it. It kinda just feels like she's going for the awe/shock value pieces. "Low hanging fruit" in my opinion. I don't feel like I know that much about the characters or why they picked each other over everyone else other than trauma bonding. ...more

ummm, well it was ummm good, if you like puppy love romances. i really tried to enjoy it because so many other people lovee this book. but i feel like the plot was just boring.. and it was too sweet, and sugary for my liking. idk it was hard for me to keep going like, i was struggling to keep my eyes open. i think it’s just because i have read way better books, with more of an exciting plot that this was just odd for me to randomly pick up. if i had read this book like 2 years ago before i start ...more
