The book was a delightful read.

I loved the two storylines – the chess career and the love interest – and how Ali Hazelwood managed to blend them both seamlessly.

The backstory of both main characters touched my heart, their experiences and the choices they made, made sense.

OOMGG I HAVENT READ A BOOK THIS ANNOYINGLY STUPID IN LIKE FOREVER, FIRST OF ALL I HATE THIS FMC SO FUCKING MUCH. This girl was going to pull out of a few million dollars contest because she would have to tell her (SICK!!!) mom, she plays chess.
I can’t even.
