ೃ︵➷ so the second book of The Hawthorne Legacy is the sequel to the interitance games the first book of the series I really enjoyed!

After hearing so many mixed reviews about the second and third book that it wasn’t as good was slow in some places.

note: i think i have rewritten this whole review from scratch 6+ times because goodreads never manages to save it :'> anyway.

▸plot: the plot was beautifully woven with callbacks from the first book, connecting histories of previous characters to current characters, and the one of many plot twists leave you in shock until you reach another plot twist. i loved how the second book sets the stage for the third book and you have no idea what to expect for the last installment. however ...more

WOW so I finished the second book and I am in shock on how many plots there are. It kept me reading and wanting to find out the mysteries. I still can’t decide if I’m team Jameson or Grayson though, it’s so hard to choose. I cannot wait to read the 3rd book that’s coming out next fall of 2022. Hopefully we get to see more romance between Avery and Jameson or Grayson!!😁

Holy crap! There was a lot going on in this book. I liked this one way better than the first book. Found it to be going at a way faster pace. Lots of puzzles and invisible ink made this an enjoyable read.

Did I like this book? yes .
Was I really invested in it? not at all .

I liked the first half when all teams started working together to solve the puzzles then we moved to the second half and everything went wrong.
The last chapters were really out of the place with the bomb and the kidnapping and the whole toby's story ( I mean really amnesia and gangster family 🤔😏) .

In terms of the characters :
○Alexander is the best 🤩 .
○Avery still so plain 😪.
○I wanted to see more of Grayson 😔.
○Nash and libbey ...more
