ok ok ok, I INHALED this book, the twisty puzzle and riddles were exactly what I was looking for. My expectations (on a scale of 15) were at a 13 when I read the blurb, then went down to a 9 when I read the reviews, then I started and finished the book and the puzzles (at least for me) were really good and didn't disappoint, of course I still expected more at a certain point (will talk about that in a second) but otherwise, loved the book.

This was good! I liked it! I enjoyed Avery as a character.

What I loved:
-I loved how Avery wasn’t immune, even though she’s a fmc. She wasn’t immune to charms or judgement, she was human, and she’s perfect.
-I accidentally spoiled this for myself, but if I hadn’t, I would’ve loved the plot twists.
-I couldn’t put it down?? I am in the biggest reading slump and still I finished it in two days?!? (Even when it was boring, I need to continue)

this book was SO GOOD!! the authors writing is amazing. she builds tension in scenes and created a plot that kept you guessing. and the plot twists were amazing. these characters were amazing and made me want to read this book forever. will definitely be read the other two in this series :)

so. i actually really liked this book. took me forever to get through the first 100ish page but after that i read the whole thing in a day. since i liked the story, naturally, i went along to grab the next one and imagine my surprise when i saw only the first book was on kindle unlimited. foul. ab-so-lutely foul. now i gotta wait for the library to have a copy in stock.
