I’d give this book a solid 3.5 (maybe 4) because this is my first fantasy fiction book, which I can somewhat recommend for beginner readers. I liked how each chapter was either a new adventure or something intriguing. Lastly, I liked the style of the book. In other words, reading the character's inside thoughts and reminiscing helped keep track of the story. ...more

I really really loved this book!
It was so easy to read and I was really invested in Jacks and Evangeline. I wish more time was spent exploring the southern region but I will definitely be reading the sequel
