I went into this book knowing I wouldn’t be making any material emotional investment. I knew it would be a balls-to-wall type of story that went for the gross out at every turn. I knew the characters would be thinly fabricated cardboard cutouts. I knew this would be about as deep as a paper cut from a wet napkin. I was right on every count. This was exactly what I expected it to be, and it very was effective for what it was.

A family of incestuous cannibals search the woods for prey and when they find Carla and her friends on a retreat in a secluded, rented cabin miles away from civilisation, they believe they’ve hit the jackpot.
This book was so ridiculously slow for the first 130 pages. After that, I can’t even give it any praise anyway because of how misogynistic and disgusting the author is. I actually almost dnf’ed this but it’s this month’s read for bookclub so I persevered. The author actually at one point wr

This was gross in all the good ways! I don’t know why but I just kept thinking about wrong turn while reading this which is good because that’s one of my favorites! Honestly just something you have to experience for yourself, highly recommend.
