This is an enchanting collection of the tales, complete with notes from Albus Dumbledore on each one. The notes were probably the most interesting part, mostly because they gave more insight into the history of Muggles and wizards, their relationships and their laws.

This book is beautifully made. It is a slim hardcover (though I think the paperback is available) and there are illustrations throughout, even just around the tops of the pages.

This little "novella" is a compilation of 5 fairy tales/bedtime stories written in the 15th or 16th century by Beedle the Bard and commented on by Albus Dumbledore during his time as Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The little stories had good morals to them, like most fairy tales but it was the commentary by Dumbledore that I really found entertaining. Would I tell these stories to my future kids? Probably. I liked this book a great read to break up some of the larger books I am reading. I did not enjoy the hair heart story but the three brothers was great it reminds me of when I was a kid and would tell scary stories at sleepovers.The others were cute or made me laugh my second favorite would be the fountain one for it shows that if you keep looking for a solution to you problems you can find one and don't need magic to do it. I like the main books better but for a set of short stories it was fun ...more

Being a Harry Potter fan, I absolutely loved reading these Tales that where featured in the final installment of the series, the Deathly Hollows. They're fun and quick to read stories, all with deep meanings to them. Took me less than a day to read this short book and I loved it. ...more
