I read Harry Potter every year. This story is so magical to me. It took me a year to read it. I started it last winter and finished it this winter. Reading many books in between. But, one thing that I love about Harry Potter is that no matter how many times you have read it, something will always surprise you and you will catch different details that you previously never noticed. We yet again find out favorite Harry Potter characters going through some amazing adventures and beginning the journey to discovering who they are and what they are capable of. Ms. Rowling has captured the hearts of millions in this series, and it is not hard to see why.

It was boring.
2024 reread: in the context of Harry Potter books, this one isn’t incredible. But it’s still Harry Potter
2022 reread: this was fun.. I mean it’s Harry Potter! It’s magnificent. The writing, world building & characters is just phenomenal. However, within the realm of HP, the plot of The Chamber of Secrets is not as compelling as instalments to follow.
