2nd read: I listened to the audiobook narrated by Eddie Redmayne and loved it! Definitely a better experience than just reading it.

This is one of those books that I wish I’d read earlier, preferably when it was first released back in 2000 as I think I would have enjoyed the humour a lot more. Obviously with the film coming out soon, I wanted to read this beforehand though I don’t think it would be necessary.

It was fun to read a lot more of magical and mythical beasts surrounding the Harry Potter world.
I also wish JK Rowling will make an updated version in the future featuring other mythical beings found in South Korea like the nine tailed fox and a host of other mystical creatures found in Thailand, Malaysia and yes, Philippines.
Fanfic authors are prolly feverish right now updating their storylines, eh?

Surprisingly my first read through. Loved it. Jo did exactly what she set out to do, write a cute and interesting textbook that excited HP fans and also supported a good cause. Can't fault it one bit for any of that :)

I can't wait for the movie series, just saying. ;) I think the best part about this one is that Ron and Harry (and even Hermione) have written all over it. They have conversations while in class and give their opinions on some of the beasts. But I shan't say more or else I'll give it away!
