Although Archer's writing is still exciting, the 2nd book in the series is not up to par with the first one. Still a decent read, just not a great one.
We get to see the characters grow up, but they never really get to grow on you. I was disappointed in the lack of the characters to keep consistent in their personalities. Sometimes the ones who had shown great intelligence and street smarts suddenly did something dumb and completely out of context with who we were lead to believe they were.

Almost as good as the first book in the Clifton Chronicles but not quite. I have had to reserve the next ones at the library and have rushed down there already. I think I'll be reading much more Jeffrey Archer in the future...
