I was lucky enough to read Only Time Will Tell as part of a Goodreads Giveaway so a big thanks to Jeffrey Archer and Pan Macmillan Australia. This, however, only influenced this review in that I took small notes throughout my read to provide a more thorough description of my experience.

For a first Jeffrey Archer, it seems like it was a brilliant place to start. I've been told his books are right up my alley and that Only Time Will Tell is just typical of his work. The book gets you right into t

Only Time Will Tell is the first book in a series written by Jeffrey Archer. The writing style is unique, where the story is told in different sections by each of the main characters in the novel. The story revolves around a young boy who grows up in Bristol, England in the time period preceding World War II. His life story is filled with interesting people who impact his life both for good and for bad.

I loved this book - it's an easy read, that keeps you turning pages to find out what happens

Archer created an interesting way to get the story from multiple vantage points by breaking the story down and telling it from the perspective of different characters in each set of chapters.

I wasn't sure I would like it, but it not only gave us a lot of background in a short period of time, it also allowed us to know all the characters better than you normally would and still managed to be one of those stories you just can't put down.

A brilliant way to start a series.

The story appears to be very good, but the layout in the paper back made
it impossible to complete without a headache occuring. The left hand
page would should have been printed even 3 letters to the left making it much easier to read. The way it was the print is near the edge making it very hard and my determination was to quit reading the book, regardless of the content or how good it was. The printing layout ruined the book and the reading enjoyment. I have read Jeffrey Archer books before but

As I began this book, I didn't think that I would like it. It was so different from what I usually read. However I am very glad that I went ahead and read this! I loved this book so much. It is so dear to my heart.

I liked this book so much, I found the next in line at the library and read that and now am looking for the 3rd!!!

Each book ends with you ready for the next chapter in the life of Harry!!

I received this book as part of the Goodread first read program. While It's not a book I would normally pick up on my own I did enjoy it. The characters were interesting, the pacing of the story was spot on, and I like that it's going to be part of a trilogy. I'd definitely say it's worth picking up if you're looking to try something new. ...more

I received this book free from First Reads. This is the first book I have read by Jeffrey Archer and I just loved it. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It was full of history. I am now reading Sins of the Father (Book 2) and plan on finishing the series.
