This was a good graphic novel. I could see how much emotion was put into it, and I appreciate how honest it was, but for some reason it never really connected with me, and it never really made me care. Blankets was an absolutely lovely read that left me with bittersweet feelings. The coming-of-age aspects were easy to relate to, and the exploration of love, lust, life, family and all the rest of it, was spot on. The art loops, dips and dives around the many, many pages of this graphic novel; it was quite beautiful, words cannot really even express just what I have experienced.
