Esse é um dos livros mais difíceis de avaliar que já li até hoje. Ele tem uma escrita maravilhosa e um imaginário fantástico para o leitor. O circo é o personagem principal, isso é genial e ao mesmo tempo problemático. A beautiful story.
The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I found it confusing at times and also it could have been shorter. Some information and characters felt like they didn't add anything to the story.

i don't feel like stars are an appropriate gauge of how i feel about this book. Actually I don't know how I feel about this book really. It's beautifully written and filled with a complex point of view. It was a book that was definitely savoured and took me quite a long time to read despite its relatively short page length. I'm annoyed with goodreads that this is showing up as a whole different book for my reread, so my two reviews won't be together, and if I unshelve this one, it will look like I didn't reread it. argh.
that aside, I do have a review for the paperback version of this, from the first time I read it, and I loved it so so much. When I added it to currently reading again, it didn't pick the same edition I had already read for some reason.

A magical book. Not sure about what to rate it yet. I will rate it sometime soon.

I finished this book yesterday but I started reading this book a much longer time ago. It took some time to finish (because I was very busy), but I honestly loved reading this book a lot. It isn't faced-paced, normally I don't like that, but in this book it was very pleasant.
The characters and descriptions are great. The characters can be very mysterious but they are also very interesting and likeable ...more

Maybe one day I'll go back to this book. I must say I loved the writing style. It was nothing short of magical. I just felt from the very beginning this book was leading up to something grand, something exciting; but I soon realized halfway through this book that it wasn't quite so. Maybe you had to read till the end to fully feel the magic but the pace and storyline was falling flat to me and gave me no desire to pick up the book and keep reading. So I moved on.
