NO SPOILERS!!
I went into this book thinking this would have a duel, as mentioned on the blurb description on the back cover. I was disappointed. There was no duel, no fight per se and I was left feeling betrayed and bored of the book.
Positives:
1. The writing: Miss Morganstern's writing is indeed unique, incredibly descriptive especially of the circus but where her strength is in poignant descriptions she lacks somewhat in the explanatory sense. Much must be assumed or inferred due to the f ...more
