Overall, i'd give this book a 4.5 out of 5. The plot was well written, and the twists I genuinely didn't see coming- especially the ending! Although, I will admit there were a few things that irritated me to the point of wanting to put the book down, but apart from that i enjoyed reading it.

When i started the book and saw the first few pages i honestly didn't think that i'd like the book at all, but that COMPLETELY changed by the 2nd chapter. So don't be fooled into thinking it's just another ch ...more

Well this book definitely was what I was looking for. Some laughs, some out-there plot, some awesome teenage main character and some snarky retorts.
It wasnt Rachel Hawkins Hex-Hall series by any means, by it definitely has the potential and with this kind of storyline and good characters, I'm awaiting great things for the next one! JUST LET ME BE THE FIRST ONE TO SAY THAT WHATEVER YOU THINK THIS IS ABOUT, WHATEVER YOU EXPECT TO HAPPEN, PREPARE FOR YOUR THEORIES TO BE OBLITERATED AND DESTROYED AN Well this book definitely was what I was looking for. That said, I did find some problems with the characters and, sometimes the story got a little bit unnecessary and just plain weird.
I found the main character Harper sometimes a little bit...eccentric, which is fine! I mean it's who she was and all that, but just in some other scenes she was...a little unbelievable. But besides that she was so great, and I enjoyed her voice and commentary. Also her resilience and passion for things is something to be admired.
And with David I felt at the start of the book he was amazing and funny and interesting, and as the book progressed, he was still those things, however I didn't connect with him as much as I would of liked to. But shunning that, he was a great love interest, and I do love his and Harpers developing partnership, it's downright funny, entertaining, and completely insane.
Other side characters, Saylor I liked, she had this mentor quality that I found fun and she was a good addition to the duo. Ryan man oh man oh man, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING and just holy shit, my mind can't process it! But I did really really like him, he was a good guy, a decent friend and a caring boyfriend - you can't go wrong with him...yet. Bee Hmmm, not sure how I think, but I don't hate her, and I do respect her friendship with Harper - I felt the legitimacy of it so that is a good starting point.

Overall I did have a great time reading this book, it gave me the laughs I was in desperate need of and it took me on an ABSOLUTE HECTIC ROLLER-COASTER OF UNSEEN PLOT TWISTS AND UNBELIEVABLE TURN OF EVENTS AND HILARIOUS AND UNREAL HAPPENINGS.
