This book did not turn out to be what i thought. It didn't get me hooked from the first page like some rare books do. Lets face it, if a book can't catch your interest in the first four or five chapters, odds are it isn't going to. The landscape appeared bleak and depressing in the beginning. Well this book was ok, but it didn't have that much impact in the story line. The plot was fine and I was able to finish reading it but it was a generic and plain sci-fiction novel, that's why I don't have any attachments to the book. The characters were also ok since they do have some development. Honestly I only really liked the part where Marguerite went to the Russian dimension since I loved the old time feel to it and also Russian Paul was such a sweet romantic :P.
