This book was recommended and hyped on GoodReads by many. I came to read it once, I had only read three entries and gave up for lack of time and energy.

I was WRONG. When I read this book, I was paying attention to suddenly everything. Morgenstern's writing style is pure poetry, bardic tales, as Widge Rating this masterpiece as a 5 STARS is a mere underestimation of its valeur!!! This piece is worth a galaxy of stars. I have never and will never experience the feels I have right now ever again.

I was WRONG. When I read this book, I was paying attention to suddenly everything. Morgenstern's writing style is pure poetry, bardic tales, as Widge had called them. Something so tangible, she should really teach it; however hard it would be for the student to apply such a phenomenal skill. I was swept and bathed with all of the emotions I can express, feel, and experience from tears, frustration, anger, anxiety, fear, surprise, astonishment, excitement, happiness, and a child's pure joy throughout every of the five parts of the book. Every death hurt my heart and cracked my soul, I was so scared for all of the characters. Marco begging Celia that he loves her was a complete ocean of tears on my end, along with Widge's conversation with Alexander, I thought he was a truly amazing smartass, but Erin Morgenstern proved me so horribly wrong, and put tears in my eyes at everyone of the statements, and revelations that I found out throughout my reading of this beautiful novel.

Thank you Morgenstern for making me wonder what the future holds for Celia and Marco... I hated knowing Tsukiko's truth, as of being not only a mere contortionist, but a player of this magical game, never having her truths revealed or helping them before. She helped each one of them see life for themselves.

I can feel the experience, the odor as I walk through and just imagine the caramel apples and the warm cup of mulled cider... I cannot express the joys I had with Bailey, and the fear of him not jumping on that train before the Circus officially leaves.

Such pure joy only comes a few times when it comes to books, this art of fiction is written so gracefully that it spills the words like wine poetically, down to the romance and censored feelings of love making. How beautiful!!! I'm still in the feeling, the excitement, and tears that comes to say that this is the best piece of fiction I have come across.

Thank you so much Erin Morgenstern for the beautiful experience you gave me to write my first worthy review full of spoils of my emotions wandering throughout your book. Please write anything, a mere page will do. Be certain that I will surely read!! I do not wish to see this as a movie, because everything I'm experiencing now will be wiped off with windex if the book and all it's details are not perfectly translated. I'm so warm inside having read through nights of tea, but finishing it saddens me. I would read your writing in many books for a very long time. I'm glad Harry Potter introduced me well to magic, so that now I can really deeply identify with yours. Bon rêves!! :) ...more

I have to start off by saying that this book was recommended to me by a fellow reader who I adore named Wednesday. She has amazing taste in books and when she recommended this one to me all she had told me was simply that I had to read it.

She was right.

THIS, THIS is my new favorite book. It is just flawless and magical and breath-catching. The characters are brilliantly written and if at first everything seemed complicated, it falls perfectly into place within the last pages.

I really don't know how to feel about this book.
The beginning took me so long to get past as it was so slow, but in the second half of the book the plot got more interesting and quicker which I enjoyed.
The reason I gave this book 4 stars is due to the writing style. The description in this book is like no other I have ever read, it truly paints a picture in your mind and allows your imagination to run wild.
