This book was AMAZING!!!
Doon is about two best friends who take a trip to Scotland for the summer. Veronica dreams of being swept off her feet by a fantasy boy in a kilt that she keeps having visions about. Mackenna is too busy pursuing her own dreams of being an actress on Broadway to think about boys. Everything changes when the girls find an old journal and a set of rings. This book was amazing! I love this book so much! Veronica and Mackenna are terrific female main characters in this story. The two main guy male characters, Jamie and Duncan, are both princes are fall for each of the girls. I have a feeling I will love this series! I will pick up

I feel torn over this one. I REALLY wanted to like this book. I loved the concept of best friends traveling to Scotland and the whole magical component to it...the story had great potential, but unfortunately for me, it just fell flat.
The way that the book was set up, with the main characters switching off in narrative by chapter, was distracting and I felt it interrupted the flow of the narrative, it just didn't seem as smooth as it could have been. Also, many of the characters (including Veron ...more

This is such a fun read! I really enjoyed it, even if there was a few things that I disliked *cough* instalove *cough*. I can't wait to see what happens in the second book!
