Book 9/100 for the Newbery Challenge | 2013 Newbery Winner
Hi friends - if you haven't seen it already, I have decided I want to be "well-read" in children's literature. So I am giving myself an unreasonable amount of work by reading all 99 of the Newbery Winners (and yes I am rereading the titles I've previously read) before the newest award is given out on the 100th anniversary of the Newbery Award next spring. I will be going from most recent to the oldest.

Very good book! It's crazy to think that it was written from a Gorilla's point of view. Every once in a while, I would stop and remind myself that Ivan is a Gorilla. Very powerful book and the artwork is amazing. Loved the book and the overall message.
