Read with my 13 year old niece after seeing the author together. We both enjoyed reading it and found it hard to put down towards the last quarter of the book.

For a children's book, I did not expect for this to have such a powerful impact on me, but I couldn't have been more wrong. This book really hit home and at a very crucial time for me. Like the main character Amie, I lost my dad and the grieving process has been hard. You can tell that the author unfortunately understands this pain all too well because it resonates so well throughout the book.
