What a powerful book. I found a little of myself in so many of the characters, but more importantly, I found people I know in those same characters. As I listened to Demon tell his story, I found myself reflecting on how I looked at addiction, loss and grief. I've judged people by the surface of what I saw, never really thinking about what was beneath the surface. I think this novel will stick with me for a while and I hope it will lead to more compassion to what someone may have been through. K
