The Atlas Complex is the final book in The Atlas Trilogy, which has been a wonderfully complex and engaging trio of books.
The whole series has been extremely character driven, with a cast of extremely flawed characters to keep you hooked. As with the previous two books, The Atlas Complex is a read you want to be in the mood to dive into. The writing style is very academic and it is a book (and series) that is best read slow. You need time to review and digest the events that are occurring to the ...more

I read this entire book and I can’t tell you what happened.
I’ve been hit over the head repeatedly with repetitive literary techniques and overused fourth wall breaks with the intention of being “profound”, and instead I finish the last page of a ~650 with no idea of wtf actually happened. This was such a bummer since I think Olivie Blake creates such interesting concepts and worlds and then unfortunately gets muddied in the details and forcing earth shattering tumblr-esque quotes (I’m thinking ...more

I finally read this finale. Not gonna lie, a lot of the subplots involving side characters in this book confused me. The main characters did unexpected things which came out of nowhere. Meanwhile, a potential ‘clash’ involving Libby th ...more

You are probably surprised to see that I ended up reading the third book in this series after my previous reviews. You may have noticed that I’m someone who really commits. Most of the time the commitment pays off, butttttt this time it did not. So you are welcome that I’ve taken one for the team in reading this series.
This is one of the longest books I’ve ever read that really says nothing. It’s just a whole lot of talking. Think of it like word vomit on a page. Word vomit that discusses physic ...more

I will say it again, this is the series I love to hate. I had to finish it and read this last book, but what a disappointment. This was definitely my least favorite in the trilogy.
I really do not like this type of “stream of consciousness” writing. It comes off as too pretentious and confusing. There were a few moments of clarity and amusing exchanges between the characters, but I really had no idea what was going on for most of the book! 😂
If you have read this series, I would love to know your ...more
