Whiplash.. I have whiplash

Ok. So I’ve been attempting this tandem read forever and I have loved these characters and hated them all at the same time. I’m glad I stuck with it and finished it. I struggled with the tandem read and actually found myself wanting to read more about Yrene and Chaol in Tower of Dawn instead of this book. However… the last few chapters just blew my mind. Yay, we finally got some smut! I've been waiting thousands of pages for it in this series! I wonder why SJM waited so long to throw us that sexy bone? Nonetheless, I loved reading it especially between our 2 Mains.

Now, my dislikes. I really think we could've edited out quite of bit. There's so many characters fleshed out and so much plot going on with so many objects involved, I'm a little dizzy. And listen, I like magical adventures ok, I cover myself in a Marauder's Map blanket every night for ...more

Still one of my absolute favourite series. Hate how long I now need to wait for the final instalment - but knew the ending here was going to wreck me as Maas is wont to do!
Manon is probably my favourite character and unlike some of the other reviews on here I like her with Dorian. But for ships I love Elide with Lorcan. I don't mind Aelin with Roman but wish Maas would stick to what she is brilliant at rather than the cringeworthy sex scenes. ...more
