1. Publishers where fighting over this book
2. They are making a movie/show out of this book

From the get go the writing was quite bad, way too many metaphors or what ever that type of writing is for things (braided everything apparently) and not enough fkin descriptions for the world or the characters. I still could not picture or tell you what this place looks or feels like. I read this right after finishing Throne Of Glass series so maybe I’m just used t ...more

I'm not going to lie, I didn't really like this book all that much until the end. I felt like there were some holes in the plot that could have gone a little more in depth to drive a point home in some instances..

Up until about page 100 it felt slow and grasping all the people and lands was a bit challenging and to be honest, a little boring. I feel like I don’t really know our FMC Isla. I also feel like she doesn’t know herself or what she really wants. She’s always been told how to act, what t ...more

It was pretty good. I felt that the story moved really fast and the chemistry between the characters was also pushed quickly. I’m excited for second book though let’s go.
