“You paid the debt before it was ever a debt”

“I think my heart knew you were mine long before I realised it”

“The greatest Illyrian warriors. Are having a snowball fight.”

“To the stars who listen”
“To the dreams that are answered”

I’ve seen so many bad reviews of this book and plenty of people saying it’s better to just skip it, but I absolutely adore this book. With the amount of war and grief the characters have endured, this book is a breath of fresh air- for both the court of shadows and the re

Like don't get me wrong, it's nice and all, but nothing really happened. I get the feeling that is more to get a look into the characteristics of all of the gang, I really liked that aspect of it. Getting more insight into everybody. Nesta I just generally am really curious about, so getting to look more into her was really nice. I might be that I read it as I was in a reading slump from ACOWAR that made me have a really hard time to get into it, but idk.

I wouldn't call it a disaster, but it didn't have that spark I loved in the earlier books. The plot was meh (is there really a plot?), and I couldn't help but think, "Is this really adding anything?" It's an okay read if you're itch

I do think this was a good light-hearted, war free break in the story. Gave us more insight to some things going on, but I do think it could have been included some how into a bigger book. Either way, it was enjoyable.
