A cute read 🥰

I’m glad I could get some happy moments in the delusion bubble before the issues in the next book. Nesta still pisses me off, Elain is growing on my list of pissing me off, Cassian deserves SO MUCH BETTER, and Azriel deserves someone who is not Mor :)

Ok that’s all. 😁

Like don't get me wrong, it's nice and all, but nothing really happened. I get the feeling that is more to get a look into the characteristics of all of the gang, I really liked that aspect of it. Getting more insight into everybody. Nesta I just generally am really curious about, so getting to look more into her was really nice. I might be that I read it as I was in a reading slump from ACOWAR that made me have a really hard time to get into it, but idk.

Re-read January 2024 in preparation for CC3. Still 4 stars. This is a short, sweet, Christmas (Solstice) special. I enjoyed getting a short reprieve from the war, destruction, pain, suffering, etc. There’s not much plot, but there is a lot of warmth.

this might be the only sarah j maas book i give 4/5 stars rather than 5/5 stars - and that’s only because the time jumps threw me for a few loops, but continuing to read clears everything up!

this book was the feel-good read we all needed after the first three books in this series. seeing these characters (who i have grown to adore) just get time to rest and love one another was so heart warming. as a writer myself, one of my favorite things is to slip in little details about my characters. i can

It was PAINFULLY anticlimactic after all of the adventure and thick plot of the prior books, but if you approach it like a Christmas Special or bonus continuation, it’s an easy listen/read that provides more insight and context and character development to transition into the next book..
