if you ask me to describe what I remember from this, I'll just say “woe” and consider that succinct. because I felt their dormant despondency in every page, every wayward sentence tossed in hopes of comedic relief. these characters I've become so excruciatingly attached to, that I don't even need to conjure images of anymore in my head, because their every peal of laughter in entwined with mine, their tears mingle with mine, their inexistent hearts beat in tandem with my very real one. This has been my favorite in the series so far. I felt every emotion while reading this. I’ve completely fallen in love with the characters, and love the new dynamics that come in this book while we get to see more of Lucien, Nesta, and Elain. I love that we still got the romance aspects, but this book really focuses a lot more on the world and the war. I want to read it again already.

4.5? Some repetitive phrases like vulgar gesture are vastly overused. Otherwise good, not as good as the second book. The third book didn’t leave me longing for the story as much as the first two. I need a break before moving forward with the series, because from the spoilers I’ve read. I neeed to see Nesta and cassian.
